Peter A. Derow is a highly experienced corporate director and advisor, with a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years in the media, publishing, and technology sectors. He has held senior leadership roles at major organizations, including serving as President and CEO of Institutional Investor, a subsidiary of Capital Cities/ABC, which was later acquired by The Walt Disney Company. Prior to that, he was President and Chairman of Newsweek, Inc., and President of CBS Publishing, where he oversaw divisions in educational publishing, magazines, and software. Notably, Peter co-founded Prodigy, a groundbreaking joint venture with CBS, IBM, and Sears that became one of the first platforms for online communication and commerce. 

Throughout his career, Peter has served on the boards of several public and private companies, including The Motley Fool, DICE, Argus Research, and On Target Jobs. He currently holds leadership positions as Chairman of the Compensation Committee at Publishers Clearing House and serves on the Advisory Board of JEGI CLARITY, an investment bank specializing in media, marketing, and information services. 

In addition to his corporate roles, Peter has a strong commitment to education and philanthropy. He has contributed to environmental education initiatives at Harvard Business School and Cambridge University and served as an advisor to The Robert W. Wilson Trust. 

An elite rower, Peter is actively involved in competitive rowing as a member of the New Haven Rowing Club and Palm Beach Rowing Association, where he serves as treasurer. He resides with his wife in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Pound Ridge, New York. 

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
